A fab set of three 1930's-1940's, Bakelite Bangles, each one rounded and a great colour. Red, yellow and black, to be worn in any order.
They are original late Art Deco bakelite pieces. Bakelite was the first plastic to be turned into jewellery. It was invented by Dr Leo Bakeland who, in 1900, patented the hard plastic. During the Art Deco era it was in its heyday and was very popular. Some wonderful examples exist from this era.
This set of bangles is in good condition with very little colour fade and would make a fun addition to a vintage enthusiast's wardrobe.
The bangles are the average size of 6.5 cms in diameter across. They would fit most small to average wrist sizes.
