Dazzling is simply the only word to describe this glamorous ruby and diamond ring that hails from the latter part of the Art Deco Era. An era when style abounded!
The traditional elongated marquise shape is here given a less angular and softer more rounded look. This gives the ring a less 'pointy' shape, and makes it easy to wear! It also gives it lots of va va voom!
The 14 carat white gold gallery of the ring is slightly elevated and worked with lots of lovely Art Deco filigree and hand detailing.
The square cut rubies set vertically down the front of the ring are nice and bright; they total .12 carat, and are offset by the central older brilliant cut diamond of .10 carat; set in a stylish hexagonal bezel setting; the diamond is an excellent G colour and VS clarity! To each end is another older cut diamond of .02 carat.
I love this ring! There is something so stunning about the white gold intricate design/detailing and the bright rubies and diamonds! Not to mention the stylish design. Slightly gothic this ring embodies the best of the latter stages of the Art Deco era as it segued into the Retro chunkier jewellery style of the 1940's & 1950's. Think Rita Hayworth or Katherine Hepburn! Glamour with a capital G!
It comes with an independent valuation and we can size it to fit; either for you, or for your true love!
Marked 14 Carat and most likely from the United States; dated circa 1935.
