A beautiful finely made late Victorian/Edwardian pendant. This sweet circular pendant is set with Bohemian Garnets and features an open worked 'forget me not' floral pansy motif in the centre, it dates to circa 1900, and is in excellent condition with no damage to the stones or the setting. The pansy flower became a symbol of affection in Victorian times, thought to be related to its close connotation with the French word 'pensees' or thoughts.
This pendant is a work of art! Teamed with a fine sterling silver belcher link chain it looks wonderful on, and would make a treasured present for someone you love.
It comes with an independent valuation and lots of vintage charm!
The pendant measures 1.5 cms in diameter, the chain is currently 47 cms long but could be modified if required!
