Original Art Deco solitaire diamond ring. This ring shows off a brilliant cut diamond of .50 carat, G colour, and SI clarity.
The setting is a classic vintage Art Deco design of a low claw set solitaire diamond with platinum Deco worked shoulders segueing down to an 18 carat yellow gold band.
These rings were designed and made in the 1920's when the engagement ring became an Art Deco celebration, and platinum was the 'new' metal du jour. It was favoured for the top settings of these rings, not only because it was such a hard wearing metal, but also because it looked so wonderful set with white diamonds.
Made to be worn with a similarly lovely platinum or 18 carat yellow gold wedding band or possibly even one set with diamonds, it sits perfectly with another ring!
A wonderful original Art Deco ring in excellent condition.
It comes with an independent valuation and we could size it to fit!
