A large plain oval Edwardian Sterling Silver Locket. Often these lockets were hand engraved all over, this one is quite plain.
It is English and dates to around the turn of the century.
It features a border of ivy winding around in a pretty style. Ivy was a favourite pattern as it denoted fidelity and devotion. It is hinged and in good condition.
Currently on a long sterling silver belcher chain, the locket comes with an independent valuation and would make a great present for special birthday...or a great gift for yourself!
This locket is quite large, at 3.2 cms across and 6 cms long.
It is currently on a fine sterling silver chain that measures 58 cms in total.
