A beautiful antique pendant made from 18 carat yellow gold set with a round blue topaz and four oval cut dark red garnets.
This is a pendant made by an early Adelaide jeweller called 'C A Horne'.
Such a weighty and well made vintage Australian piece of jewellery! It weighs 12.33 grams and is wonderfully well marked with the Adelaide jeweller's initials and gold stamp. It is likely that this was a custom made bespoke piece of jewellery. The gold is a lovely glowing rich yellow that speaks of the early Australian gold rush of late 19 and early 20 th centuries!
This pendant dates to circa the 1910 mark from South Australia of course!
The combination of colours is arresting also! A truly special and unique treasure from a bygone era, that looks great on today. It comes with an independent valuation and lashings of vintage and historical allure!
The pendant is 3.8 cms long and 3 cms wide.
