It looks sparkling and different when on the hand!
Throughout history the appearance of Halleys Comet has sparked a reaction in the jewellery trends of each time. The comet was considered of great significance and anticipated eagerly before it appeared in the skies in May 1910 when, thanks to a high degree of newspaper coverage, its arrival was given considerable fanfare. This was the closest it got to the earth, it stayed in the skies for some six hours in America, living up to its expectations.
The designs of these rare pieces of Comet jewellery were wonderfully thought out and carefully constructed by jewellers to create some memorable jewels. Like this fab Art Deco ring. It must have been a New York dazzler made for a stylish flapper...
Dazzling and rare it is a comet shooting across the finger in a blaze of diamonds.
It looks great on and makes for a wonderfully unique Art Deco vintage ring with a historical significance! It is for a daring and dashing woman of today with a Deco style of yesterday!
