A spectacular pair of Art Deco earrings made from sterling silver and paste. This material was popular during the 1920's and during earlier times. The 'paste' material was made and then cut as the precious gemstones would have been. It was carefully fashioned to look so similar to the real thing. This amazing paste jewellery was often of a very high quality, as these earrings certainly are...
These earrings are copies of an exquisite pair of emerald and diamond drop earrings. The emeralds have been made to resemble natural stones so closely that they even have the internal inclusions or the 'garden' that typifies emeralds within them.
Marked with a French silver mark, they date to the 1920's or 1930's and are beautifully made.
Wear them and feel the swinging 20's echoing from the shimmer and sparkle of their glimmering elegance!
A great gift for the flamboyant woman in your life, a timeless piece of history from that fabulous era when jewels- even the copies of very valuable pieces were glamorous and fun!
The earrings drop approx 5 cms from the ear.
They are marked with a French Silver mark on the back and are in excellent condition with no stones missing.
