Art Deco Enamel and Marcasite Sterling Silver Yachtsman Brooch.
This Art Deco piece is a masterpiece of colour and movement in a perfect little brooch. It dates back to the late 1930's- early 1940's, it is in great condition with all marcasites intact and the enamel as wonderful as it was all those years ago.
The sea is choppy, the yachtsman is steering in rough seas and you can all but hear the seagulls call and smell the salt. Something about this brooch reminds me of the Famous Five at Smugglers Cove! Wear it on a favourite jacket, or give it to someone as a memorable and wonderful Art Deco gift!
It comes with an independent valuation as a unique Art Deco quirky piece and with all the charm of its wonderful era.
The brooch is a small work of Art. It measures around 2 cm long and 3 cms across.
