A lovely Art Nouveau English necklace, featuring oval Lapis Lazuli looking blue glass with silver surrounds and interlinking art nouveau flowers.
This necklace was made in England, around the 1900 mark, it is marked with a sterling silver mark.
It is pretty and delicate in the manner of Victorian jewellery, with a boldness of shape and colour that is reflective of the upcoming changing tastes and designs. It sits well on, high on the neck.
It would make a special occasion piece, that could still be worn more casually. An heirloom for future generations! It comes with an independent valuation.
The necklace is quite short, it measures some 40 cms long in total. and the blue oval segments extend to just before the nice old catch. It could possibly be made slightly longer or shorter however, ask Inga!
