The Art Deco era certainly opened new doors for the jewellery designers of the time! The designs were different, bold, eye catching, stylish and dramatic!
Here the platinum claw set central diamond is encased in two interlocking concentric circles of white that are each set to the outer edge with more diamonds. Almost an infinity figure of eight, or a moibus, this design works so well and gives the ring a fluidity of movement that is further enhanced by the differing reflections of light from the different surfaces! Clever and captivating!
The central diamond is .35 carat, it is J/K in colour and SI in clarity.
The diamonds that are grain set around each outside circular framing curve total .30 carat; they are G-H in colour and SI in clarity.
Currently quite a small size, we can size this ring to fit, and it comes with an independent appraisal.
A fantastic antique engagement ring, or just a great 'other hand' ring.
History, pizzaz and such unique charm in a stylish diamond ring from such a stylish and special era! What could be nicer than that?
Dated to circa 1940, and in excellent condition.
