A striking and pretty antique peridot ring. The oval faceted peridot is a glowing lime green; peridots come from the olivine family of gemstones, in times gone by they were thought to ward off evil spirits, and to relieve stress and to promote clarity.
Generally quite small, this one is a good sized peridot stone and has a nice life to it.
The setting is a 9 carat rose gold claw set basket style with a split band, it is most likely early Australian and dates to circa 1920-1940.
The rose gold colour works well with the light bright green.
A ring to brighten the hand, and the life of a loved one...Or, to brighten your own!
