A beautifully made original Art Deco bracelet; this is Greek in origin, and features three highly decorative enamelled panels interlinked with six decorative strands of chain.
Each panel shows a dancing figure; two are young women in elaborate traditional Greek dress, and the third is a young Greek couple. Possibly given to commemorate a wedding; this beautiful bracelet is so well made with each panel containing fine filigree open work in silver, and the enamelling is wonderfully vibrant and well executed!
As the silver is quite soft, this is a delicate piece that needs to be only worn on special occasions. On one of the panels, the figure is just slightly damaged around the edges but as long as care is taken when worn, this bracelet will continue to delight with its fantastic interesting design and lovely silver work. Dated at circa 1940 and Greek in origin, the bracelet is marked with a Greek maker's name. The catch is a well made slide and is in excellent condition!
For the flamboyant woman with a sense of style and a love of antique jewellery; a perfect gift!
Designed for a small to medium sized wrist, the bracelet measures 14 cm in circumference, and is 5 cms in width.
